HOME DECORATING WITH ASIAN STYLE

Asian themes uses bright and vibrant colors, and thus, it might not always be a good idea to do up the whole house using this theme. It is always better to concentrate on some part of the house and use it as the focal point by decorating it using the Asian theme. There is heavy dependence on texture and color in this theme, and this needs to be kept in mind.

One of the best places to decorate using the Asian theme is the dining room of the house. When the dining room is decorated, one obviously can use the vibrant colors but besides one can also add decorative pieces on the table. One can use things made of bamboo or Chinese utensils which are very famous in the Asian area.

Waterfront House with Numerous Exterior Courtyards and Terraces

The design for this waterfront home on Lake Washington knits together
themes of nature, art and the science of sustainable design. The site features
quite a big shade trees and great views across the lake so the design
is optimized to use all its pros.

The interior spaces are naturally ventilated but protected from winds.
The home’s numerous exterior courtyards and terraces truly provide
a connection to nature as the clients open the house to the outdoors
for dining, lounging, entertaining, and gardening.

Surrounded by nature the house continue its theme inside
by careful choice of materials which aren’t hard
for maintenance but are comfy.

Kew House on the Edge

Australian firm, Jackson Clements Burrows Architects, created this house
on the edge of an escarpment. The house has a great view to the Yarra River
and Studley Park Golf. That isn’t their first project in interesting site conditions.
A residential area following the flow of the Yarra River?the land falls away 11.5 feet.

The architects created a three-part, two-toned, steel-and-copper-titanium-alloy-clad
form for the house that would telescope progressively from front to back.
The three shells that make up the horizontal stacking-block form contain
an entry shell with study and garage, a middle shell with bedrooms, bathrooms,
and laundry, and an end shell with kitchen, dining, and living areas.

The three forms are suspended in the tree canopy with a supporting
structure of circular two-tone columns. Beneath this platform level is a
glazed area with an additional bedroom, bathroom, storage, and living
areas, a floor of synthetic grass and a children's play area.

Stunning Swedish Summer Home

The small 1940′s house belongs to her and it isn’t too big.
Although it features amazing nature around it so it’s great place
to spend summer there. The most amazing place to enjoy beautiful
views of nature is an outdoor tub.

The wood-fired hot tub is custom-made and it’s really perfect way to relax.
The home’s interior is both cozy and personal. It’s very pleasant to the eye
and features a lot of small details that could provide you with some inspiration.

This summer home is renovated and decorated by Swedish
stylist Katarina Grundströmer.

Sustainable House with Large Expanses Of Glass – Flyway View House

The Flyway View House is designed by Jon Anderson Architecture
and located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The design’s concept
was to maximize views of the bird habitat and to take advantage of solar
exposure and passive ventilation. Simple sustainable materials and
the thoughtful use of glass blends the indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Overhangs protect living areas from the summer heat but exploit the sun
for passive heat gain during winters. All exterior walls are done in
concrete blocks. The roof deck is made of steel. The large glass areas
are built from storefront components with a black anodized finish.

Unique House with Private Garden in Modern Style

Balaam house is a private residence on a urban site which is designed
in harmony with surroundings and the weather in the region. It is built
with using zinc aluminium, concrete, rich timbers and raw battening.
Even though this combination of materials isn’t quite usual for other regions
it’s very popular in warm countries.

Besides capturing river views from different sides, the house
also has an awesome private garden which is great play area for children
and to relax around a fire pit. Another unique feature of the project
is cantilevered pool which provides an eave for the main entrance
with its showpiece, glass end.

Even though the house hasn’t typical modern design, in this region
it looks quite modern. Like many other houses in Australia it also
implements “green” and saving technologies like rain water harvesting, solar hot water,
passive “heat stack” cross ventilation, solar control glass and so on.
